u didnt show how u got the speaker off the basket my re sx needs a recone n i cant get the surround off to pull it out do i jus have to just pull it up then scrape the glue off

If it needs a recone, take a utility knife and cut the **** out. Cut around the surround as close to the landing as possible... same thing with the spider landing. Cut the tinsels... and rip the entire assembly out.Originally Posted by cameronp

If changing sizes, you will need a P3 philips head and some torque to get the screws out of the motor/basket. I recommend using goop or some type of epoxy to attatch the motor to the new basket. Then torque the screws back down.

Basically, you use shims in the gap around the pole piece to give an equal thickness all around the former. You want it to be tight so the former doesn't wobble...Originally Posted by PESteele
