Final Decision : JL 12w3 or IDQ 12 ?

ok guys...i know i asked this before...but i want a final opinion and thoughts
i decided to go with one 12...and i am gonna give it 300w rms
my two choices are the JLw3 and the IDQ 12
i wanna use a ported box
i want a nice bass response which should be able to rock my seats

today i went to check out the JL and the guy in the store let me hold it....looking at it in real...and on the net...in real it looks sooo much bigger and sweeter...it looks very well built...i think it was love at first sight

i am still yet to go check the IDQ....but from what i saw i love the JL

what do you guys think ?

hmmm true...cuz its like every one has a JL right...but then again maybe that's a good thing ??

btw...i was checking their site...and the 12w3 is a discontinued line...anyone can tell me why ?
but they still make the 15w3

look, if u can afford to spend more, then id get an IDMax - $250 off carmedia1.com...............youll scare the pi$$ outta he people with those w0s and W3s...............................

see i cant afford the idmax...cuz i iwll have to buy a bigger amp...i not into competitions or show off...i just want something to rock the car and everyone in it

so i will be looking for a 250-350rms sub
which the w3 and IDQ fall's into

my amp is a RF 300s

last night my friend let me hear his set up...he is using a pair of JL 12wo
he giving them 150 rms each and those pounded the air out of my chest
sealed box too
i was wondering if one w3 in a ported box would sound the same or better?
but he advised me to go with the IDQ

Which ever you get, you'll be happy. Both have excellent SQ but the IDQ has the edge. In SPL, the W3 has a slight advantage, with the IDQ right behind.

That it is...either way you go you will be happy, W3's have a slight edge with SPL and the IDQ sounds a little better...they are very close in comparison.

Me personally? I would probably choose the IDQ's.

why would you choose the IDQ over the w3 ?

in db terms...how much more SPL might the w3 give ?

Why would I choose it...well, first off I've never really been a huge fan of the W3...dont get me wrong, it is a very good sub. I just like the IDQ better - besides, everyone and their uncles have W3's... I like how the IDQ sounds...BTW, you wont notice drastic amounts of SPL difference between the two.

true....alotta ppl i know have w3's...and they have been out for some time now
also noting that the IDQ handles 100 more watts than the w3
i plan on using one single 12 for now..maybe when i get more money i will add another...which would mean another amp

my friend who has w0's told me i should get the IDQ...this week i gonna check it out and hopefully i can get to hear it
