    it all depends on how you have it wired....each sub has dual 4 ohm VC's right?...if that is the case, you can wire the coils in a series and the speakers in paralell and you will get a 2.7 ohm load, which will pull enough to run each speaker to its RMS power handling...you said three right...yea that is it...there is a diagram for it here

    it is at the very very bottom to the left, the one with three subs....check that it should help


    this is all possible if the amp is 1000 watts is RMS...if it is 1000 max at 2ohms then it is a different story

    that amp will put out AT LEAST that much pwoer, its a beast...
    also, the Type r's will handle that much, easily...
    are they the dual 4 ohm subs?
