    Alpine Type-R cross-over help please

I have a kenwood KEC-202 3way cross over. It replaces the crossovers on the amp and after the amp for all the speakers in the car. My problem is I don't know what my Alpine Type-R 6.5 componete speakers cross over at. I have been trying to adjust it but I can't get it to sound right. If anybody Knows whare to cross it over at or around what I should cross it over at pleeeeeaaaassssse let me know. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

    The Xover High-Frequency Output: 3kHz - 10kHz (High-Pass)
The alpine comps Frequency Response: 40Hz 30kHz

You might wanna not use the the xover for the Comp's.

The speakers sound ok. I wish they could get a little louder without distorting. I'm using pioneer GM-X564. It gets about 40watts rms x4. It claims 50watts rms x4 on the manual but only 40 on the back of the amp. Anyways, I can't give the speaker there rms power with out them distorting. maybe it's my set up. I'm still messing with it.

They are distorting due to your Xover. My type-R sound fine and i have 50watts RMS going to them. They dont distort at all.

    The Xover High-Frequency Output: 3kHz - 10kHz (High-Pass)
The alpine comps Frequency Response: 40Hz 30kHz

I've tried it both with and with out the cross over and on my system it sounds better with the cross over. I dunno, maybe I'm doing something wrong. They only get loud without distorting if I cut them off at 125hz. If I just run it without the cross over It really distorts the voices at loud play.

I'm using the pioneer DEH-P3300. Ya, it's cheap but I didn't know much about head units then and still don't. What units are good.

Try use a higher model or better SQ HU. But dont use the Xover with the new HU if you get one the Xover dosent cross the High pass as high as the Alpine spec's as i post both.

    The Xover High-Frequency Output: 3kHz - 10kHz (High-Pass)
The alpine comps Frequency Response: 40Hz 30kHz
