    ED K v. 44 flat cone REVIEW.

All i can say about teh SQ of this woofer is WOW. And this comin from BOOMIN should mean a lot. I mean this woofer makes the RE series look like ... And this was only off 120 RMS..

    I'm still in shock..
    on to the Review.

THE EDK v.44 dual 4 ohm was housed in a 1 cubic ft sealed enclosure. Ideal for daily use. The woofer was even run in a home enviroment off a plate amp in a seprate location from the enclosure, providing extra work to get the thing moving. Anyways the first track was californiua love by pac. I played it at very low volume, i usally do this just to tease my self( i still my head right on the enclosure to feel the woofer play without even being tested. I knew right of the bat we were dealing with something solid here.

    so lets crank it up.

I was shocked to hear this 12 play every single note flawlessly. Sounded very similar to an RLP, the flat cone moves exquisitely, i love it, great design..
I then threw in a sine sweep for cravings sake and the K shook the house.
Next was wanna be a baller by lil troy. I began to think this thing was not sealed... Overall if anyone, wants a stricly aestically pleasing SQ driver for an insane price this is the way to go. elemental design did a great job with this.

    Final Say

    SQ 10/10
    SPL 6/10 coming from xxx18's...

XXX is still the measuring stick to which other subs are compared I see. Its amazing how many new subs have come out that supposedly out perform the XXX in some way or antoher, yet when the next new sub comes out, the XXX is still the sub to compare to.

I really have no point. Just found this amusing.

The 15A is a somewhat different driver, as the 12A's don't have quite the storied return history

this sub should NOT be compared to a XXX. Its a great SEALED and required very little space and very little power. quick response, high output. no need for a city block of power

Re: ED K v. 44 flat cone REVIEW.

The 12K setup I heard was also sealed, around 1CF...and I loved the SQ.

Although if it's anything like my 12A, porting it will reap a lot of benefits, and not decrease the SQ noticeably if it's properly set up

I couldn't find it on the elemental designs website...My lil bro is looking for something like two 10s that are more SQ than SPL

Re: ED K v. 44 flat cone REVIEW.

They aren't made anymore...so you won't find them on the current products. 10" flat cones are rare as hell anyway (not many were made, with the possible exception of the 10O.44), so good luck finding them.
