2 l7's vs dd 9917

ok...i found a dd 9917 for sale and want it badly! will it be louder than my 2 l7 10's that i have in a small sealed box compared to box built to dd specs? and also i have a jbl 1200 watt amp. would that be sufficient or what would be needed?

THE BEAST!!!!! It will require a hugh @ss box, but the SPL output should be fanominal. Dont expect a ton of SQ with it. But loud yeah it can do that quite well, especially if you had like 3000+ watts to burp it with or more

Now I see...I just checked out the DD website...that is an UGLY MFer...they are re-releasing it huh? What is the mounting depth?

yeah i saw that thing on their site first time i went on there. that's a big mother of a sub i wonder would it really outpound like the 9515 that badly though?? i was wondering if it would simply b/c why wouldn't nate munson use the beast if it was that much better ya know??

I wouldn't fool with the 9917... its performance, doesn't justify the price..

Yes if you can find one for a good price...if not, I still have the 3510...satisfaction guaranteed.

yeah i don't know if DD's prices are the same when you order them now as they were then but i know on the site they've been jacked way up. i went looking one day and was like OMG i wouldn't pay that much for a 3515. if the prices are the same on the net and the real price anyways.

can that 9510 take 2 jbl 1200's? or should i just keep the 2 l7's that i have now and put a jl 1200 to each?

or would a 9515 be louder w/the 2 amps? and is it worth it to pay the extra money for the showcase model subs?
