i wanted, SPL, not SQ, i have 4 polk 12's and 2 Solo baric 12's, wich should i instal

hey, i have the 4 polk DX (one step down from MOMOs) installed, and its not loud enough, theyre ran by a JBL 1200.1, should i sell the 4 12;s and install the 2 kicker L5 12s? would they be louder with the same amp than the 4 polks? the 4 subs are hittin about a 138.....*sigh* i dont know what to do

Those 4 Polk DXs will still make more SPL under the same power than the 2L5s.

i will bet money those 2 l5's would smoke a 138 .. l5 is only about a db less than l7's when both at full power and at 600 a sub neither would get full power so they about =. and also i do believe this guy doesnt have the room to use the 4 woofers outside of isobarric and the l5's would destroy a pair of polks

Silly me He's already said that he doesn't like the sound of the 4 12s. Just wondering though what kind of vehicle do you have? I have to agree with Audiolife here after rereading this 2 L5 15s in a slot ported 7cubic foot box would do some serious damage.

hey, i have a thunderbird, the backseat dosent fold down, but im workin on that haha. so would it be worth the risk, if since my 4 subs are in a 2 sub enclosure, about 2 ft3 per chaimber, should i take out all 4, and cut the holes to fit the solos? would it be worth it knowing that i could never put the 4 back in? its a big risk, cause i dont wanna spend 250 on a box to get it back how it was. also, if i take out my backseat, would it be a substantial gain in SPL? thanks

i would build the medium spl box and dont worry about the backseat lol you dealing with a whole new breed of woofer...why didnt you have them in before?

Only a 4^3 box **** thats small for 4 12s.
