Build a new box. Tell us what Sub's and what kind of sound you're looking for, and box suggestions will come forth.
Is this not a reasonable place to park?
iight man,
i gotta pair of 12" kicker compVRs ... i listen mainly rap or sum hard trance or sumthin like that mainly spl..... but i want sq.... i dont want te bass to drown out the vocals and stuff
im think in of makin huge box ... (dimension 14 x 25x 34) i gotta suv so space isnt a problem.
is plexiglass expensive cuz im considerin addn sum plexiglass to the mix...
thanks fo any help![]()
is the box im plannin to build too big? (14 x 25 x 34)????????

yes you need about 2.5 cu in. space total 1.25 for each sub. Unless ur doing a ported box
Headunit: Eclipse CD8443
Front Stage: Boston Acoustics Z6
Rear Stage: Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5
Subwoofer: Dual JL 10W7 Sealed Enclosure
Mid/High Amplifier: JL Audio 450/4
Subwoofer Amplifier: JL Audio 1000/1
yea im plannin on goin ported .... so is it too big???

those subs respond well in ported boxes. I had two tens pounding like crazy.... I have a good design for a serious spl 12 box but im not living at home (im at school) so i can only guess it to be about 40X14.5X15 or so with a 7" slot port. But I warnit sounds kind of crappy

Rear Stage: Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5

Mid/High Amplifier: JL Audio 450/4

so it would be better if i made a smaller ported box rather than a big one?
