    Porting a Sealed Enclosure

A friend of mine has a sealed box and I recommended if he ported it..that the subs would perform better...Since he is lacking a lot of FREE AIR..He doesn't know his box size..I'm guessing 2.25ft3..Not sure though..I told him to port the box with 3" PCP pipe..Run them 8-10" deep and seep how it does...I would go 3.5inches but since he is lacking box size and Free air..I'm thinking 3"is better..What would you say would be best?

depends entirely on the woofer... I'd have to know what he has, before I can make any determinations..
