12" 15" Question of the day.

Ok I will try to explain this in a way you can understand.

I want a RL-p. My question is wether to get the 15" or 12". I listen to metal, witch has very fast bass beats. But I love to listen to rap as well. I am wondering which is a better medium, will the 12" do better for both rap and metal, or would the 15 do better for either. Or will I have to compromise and get a little less of something.

    Either would be fine.

Get whatever suits the enclosure size and power you're going to be using.

Or just get the 15", because 15's are cool.

    15"

seriously, people seem to be very impressed when they see subwoofers bigger than most car's rims in your trunk.

Do you guys think 500-600 watts a piece would suit the 15's good enough?

Good I think it would too.

Most people seem to be happy running that amount of power daily.

Depends a lot on the install, but quality materials are needed also.

Re: 12" 15" Question of the day.

PERSONALLY id go with the 12...i have a singe xxx15 which has INSANE lows but could be justa lil better in the upper mids, say 70-90Hz....... the 60-70Hz range is pretty good, which is handy for most of the rock i listen to but it could be better, a 12 would hit those frequencies much better whille getting the lows as well......thats just my opinion

funy thing is as a result of haveingstupidly insane lows i listen to more rap......hahah

I would say do the 15" of you have the space for it. For the enclosure I would go ported and tuned to 28-32hz.
