yeah. i never said that supras were cheap.. but the potential of the supra engine, you have to admit, is much much higher than the performance potential of the Ranger engine. I'd say the 4.0 V-6 will be maxing @ about 600-700 Hp.. and that will be very unreliable. Just because i don't think that the block of the v-6 was made for racing like the block for the I-6 was.

It isn't cheap to get power out of a supra, it would probly take you about 70K dollars to be pushing around 1100 HP. that's a whole lot of money. but then again, it is 1100 HP.

    Performance for Less- Ranger
    Potential Performance- Supra

The Ranger is not ment for racing, but Mustangs are, which brings us back to the whole V8 vs. import thing...

Now, can you deny that a Mustang sounds better than a 4 banger??? Just wondering...

It is a toss up for me.. i really really like the sound of a 2.0 Jetta w/ full exhaust. But then again i like the sound of a V-8 with decent pipes on it. I don't like the blatting of straight pipes at all, but the stock exhaust of a 4.6 is perfect V-8 sound to me.

I do like the whine of motorcycles, but i don't like cars to sound like that. I like Greddy, Tanabe, and Neuspeed exhausts... and some others that i can't remember the names of right off the top of my head...

yes, you could call me a ricer, even though i drive an ALL-AMERICAN Jeep.

maybe.. but i don't like really loud exhausts on V-8's.. they don't sound smooth. I like a rich mellow tune when i hear either a 4-6-8 cyl. engine.. i don't care what it has under the hood, as long as it has a nice, deep mellow sound to it.

who cares who's gonna be more intimidating....it all depends on who wins the race...not who sounds nicer. im not disagreeing with you because i like little 4 cylinders, because thats not true. i would much rather have a v8. im just stating it doesnt matter who is more intimidating, it just depends on who crosses the line first.

yes sometimes, and a lot of times, it does matter who sounds more intimidating.

at age 16-18 is when teenage guys get really intereseted in vehicles.
at age 16-18, a kid could have a really nice 4 banger, a really suoped up one, but hes inexperienced and is intimidated by the sound of a v8. and that doesnt only apply to teens, there are a lot of inexperienced adult racers out there too.

Yes...intimidation is a big factor in racing...a lot of people around here miss gears when they are shook up...

    lol speaking of intimidation...

my cousin has a 55 chevy (dont know what hes running) but its fast...

Just to add extra scares he took the teardrops off the hood of the car boarded the wholes out a little in them and aimed them at the tires. he pulls up next to people and sprays them down just to get more spin on the tires LOL its funny seeing their face drop, expecially when he does that on dry roads lol
