American Bass VFL 150.1 + 2 Avalanches?

I've got 2 15" Avalanches coming whenever they get shipped. I recently bought a Tsunami db1800t for a pretty cheap price, supposedly does 1800w @ 2 ohms but I've heard a couple complaints about reliability issues. I saw someone selling an AB VFL 150.1 for $400 shipped with warranty, which is supposed to do ~2500w @ .5 ohm and 14v. Would this be a better choice and worth the extra money? I can't seem to find all that much about the VFL being used in daily driver installs.

VFLs are great amps. I wouldnt run it at .5 daily. But with box rise... it all depends.


Those VFLs retail for almost a grand each. Great deal. But they can draw 300 amps.

I've got a 240A alternator and the gains would be set pretty low most likely....so I'm not as concerned with current draw right now as I am with quality equipment.
