    PRV Audio 6MR500-NDY-4

From the looks and the specs these should be awesome. I received a recommendation on these a long time ago by Jeff and it took me like two years to actually get them. I am going out right now to install them and will come back with my initial thoughts.

So.... these are very very similar to my ds18s. But, these are a little louder and sound better. Still tuning and adjusting but def a upgrade. I will update after they have some time on them.

Been a few days now. These are so much smoother and just more pleasant sounding than the DS18s, Lanzars and the crossfires. While being louder than all of them.. They also don't even sound close to reaching any power limits that I can give them.

Glad I bought them. No regrets.

Now I'm trying to decide on the mmats 6 channel or the Audiocontrol 6 channel.

Right now I have them crossed at [email protected] slope. Played them without one for a few minutes and they def have more low end then my ds18s. But these aren't made for that. I just wish they made a dedicated midbass with similar specs.

Yeah, the Fs kinda told me that. I think the Stevens Audio is the way to go for the same price, since I want some midbass from 80hz up.

With an Fo of 56 Hz and 1-way xmax of 5.5mm it is a capable driver good to 70 Hz at its full RMS power handling of 225 watts RMS.
Mounting depth 3.5" Cutout diameter 7.125"

crescendo pwx is what you want to use for pure midbass duty. Specs on the sheet vs real world results are totally different. In a well treated door they are like mini subwoofers that move your shorts with the thuds.

skeptical on how loud a ferrite motor can actually get. I've used a lot of high sensitivity ferrites that boast high efficiency claims but they never stack up to neodymium in terms of actual raw output. aka beyma and B&C

The stevens SR6 looks nice but a 950 dollar price tag is too d*mn steep lol

give them 450 watts per driver and they come alive, they still dont get smelly unless i hard clip the ppi. Way before that point my ears gave out. I'd say if you have 500-600 per driver clean they'll gobble all that up easily.

I have these on my audiocontrol 6 channel bridged and I can't get to the clipping indictor because my ears cant take it. No distortion just loud.
