I willing to bet some money you acted like a complete douche when this problem occurred and dave told you to ef off. and im sure the base models of the motors have a certain power handling that's recommended. but it changes with coil and spider configurations. also has to do with your enclosure size

RAAM designed my enclosure based on T/S specs. Dave I was actually good to man I told him I really don't care I'm just getting it reconed but I told him that he would not be getting good reviews from me. How does that NOT prove much? it proves that my subwoofer was GIMPED and that the platform I was given would NOT handle 1600rms daily. I've proven more than enough stop being a biased fanboy of dave you sound like N8ball from sMD forums.

No I did, to be honest I didnt care until I put it in the box and you could hear lead slapping like crazy because he also didnt put ANY pads on the cone. and what am I supposed to do to "maintain" a overheating subwoofer? I adjusted gains far below that of the rated on my amplifier, and my voltage sat @ 13.6v full tilt with no dimming or anything. I tried adjusting EVERYTHING you think I just said, it's hot **** it, no I did a ton of **** to try to make it better even bought a battery and now I sit 14v and it STILL got hot. Just stop please, at this point you have no respect from me or anything for that matter since you're obviously a PSI fanboy because you OWN one, congrats I hope yours blows for being sucha prick.

I later found out that one of the coils leads snapped because it was 0 on the DMM this is ALL within 6 months of owning it. Coil was bright, but it read 0.
