Lanzar OPTI6.1 Components

Ok guys ordered a set for my friends car, if their good this is what he will be going with, should have them in tomorrow so ill start out with my impression outta the box.
So i get the box from fedex ordered from VMinovations off ebay for $84 shipped, nice price? so box gets here in very good condition so i open her up. everything is packaged nicely, looked everything over and i am impressed! this is the 400w 6.5 set, they make a step up thats the OPTI6C but desided to go with these, the difference is these come with silver aluminum cone and silk domes, compared to black cones and titaniums. Everything seems built well and dam are these crossovers big! also have a db switch for +3, 0, -3. Also came with the usual mounting hardware with wire, grills, and tweeter cups.

MY RATINGS=

Appearance=5/5- came new in box, sleek look and very good looking imo
Performance/loudness=4/5- they perform well off the 60+ rms i gave them and never got hot or anything but i do feel that on this amp they seem to "top" out when it comes to loudness,it may be the amp itself but well see.
Sound Quality= 4.5/5- mids are excellent have good vocals and midbass, running these mainly for the vocals, tweets are nice and soft but in the upper volumes can get a tad harsh but no distortion at all even when his volume was cranked 35/35 on HU
Price=5/5- for under $100 i would have to say their an incredible deal id rate them better than the PG components and comparable if not better than crescendos.

Overall great speaker for the money and love them, nothing to be worried youll get quality components even with the lanzar name on them, these are legit. Id recommend them and probably wont run any other budget 6.5s for a long while. Waiting on getting the amp in (Soundstream rubicon 4.600) 100rms per channel should do them good and sound very happy, hopefully more power will help the topping out of the loudness. this amp will also allow better tuning than what their on now so should be even more clear up top, plus running active will hopefully soften the tweeters up at high volume with some fine tuning.

Looking good. 84 is a very nice price...

very nice set for the price, one of the best sets under $150

thats what this experiments all about, BTW he has 2 amps on the way and will be running active in about 2 weeks

depends what your going for i know alot of people that wont run titanium tweeters in an sq setup, plus yu have to have the amps to back up the 6C's

the black ones? they are nice as f@ck, not alot of sound differences between the 2 I used both, the 6c took about 300rms per side no problem, they are some mean comps

how's the midbass? how do the tweets sound?

The titanium tweeters are very nice. You can always turn the treble down if they are too bright. I like me some sharp bright tweets.

Coulda got them even cheaper. Vminnovations has a coupon code out. vmsave10 saves you 10 percent. 75 bucks for the set. I may have to pick myself up a set

lol this wouldve been nice to know but oh well, i bought from this company cus shipping has been fast and good buys from them in the past.
