Personally, I like Rockford more as a company.
I'd try out the Subtilis VVX. The 12" is like $130 and they'll even build an enclosure to your specs for like $40 more. Tough to beat a deal like that...
I shot out muh mom's vag with bossing papers in hand.
ive seen some people put the type r's on 1200rms and taken it easy. the p3's aint all that great either. it would be close but i would go w alpine
alpine. I like rockford, just not a big fan of the P series.
If you decide on those R's... I've got a brand new pair of em 12"... LMK

Boston Acoustics G3's, Or maybe JL Audio W3's?
I'd go with a type x 12. I got a 10 so I can only imagine what the 12 wuld do
2010/2011 Rockford P3's, hands down.
They claim 600wrms, but that is very conservative. We have one at work hooked up to a RF T1500bd and it keeps it's cool even under load, don't even smell voice coil. We sell them for $308 in a Rockford slot port enclosure, very well worth it. Metal cone = solid bass
Deck Kenwood KDC-X595 (For now)
Mid/High Speakers Infinity 6x8 Coaxial's and RF P1 Tweeters in front doors
Mid/High Amp Orion 280GX 2x80wrms (Old school)
Sub Rockford Fosgate T1D412 12" 800wrms
Sub Box 2.5 Cubic foot, high output, slot ported
Sub Amp JL Audio 1000/1 v1, 1000wrms @ 11-14.5 volts
Rockford fosgate. I have 2 p3s and ive compared them to several alpine type r's (friends are alpine fans). Powering my rf's at 500-600 rms a piece they blow the type r's out of the water spl wise every time. sq for the rf is average and alpine has the advantage, but if you want spl go rf. i paid 240 for the pair, and a year later they sound as good as they day i bought them
