I've been on this forum for a year. I know most people dont like rf but i was just giving my experience compared to alpine. Better spl worse sq. The subs cost 120 a piece so obvi they arent very high up but compared to similiar alpines i like rf. Just my opinion

in every aspect of performance, the type R does edge out the fosgate. Durability, build quality, power handling, etc. I sell RF and know the capabilities of almost every one of their products. You can get type R's for around 125 or so new as well.

As far as a good suggestion, I would definately say to take a look at the obsidian audio stuff. They have the same RMS power handling (although you can push those limits easily) and they are definately in the big boy league of audio equipment. They also don't cost much more than the RF/Alpine stuff.

Alpine's aren't mehhhh subs. they just aren't as high quality as some of the other stuff that's out there. doesn't make them bad.
