Review of the Sony Xplod XS-L100P5W 10" 1100W max 300W RMS Subwoofer
Well, even after reading all the talk of how Sony stuff is crap and how it doesn't measure up to anything else I must say I am semi-impressed. For those who don't have hundreds to spend on each sub but still want to be able to really feel the bass I think these are a good alternative to the $400 and $500 subs.
They're relatively inexpensive...comparitively speaking....and they sound pretty good.
Are you going to go win any competitions with them? Only if you're the only one in the catagory.
Are they a sub-$200 way to get a decent set of subs and a little more bottom to your music?....Absolutely!
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate them a 8.5 overall. Higher points for cost and availability compared to most other subs. (they're available at your local wal-mart for $60ea.)
But lower on the power handling end.
Although...300W RMS isn't too aweful bad for $60.
I can remember when subs were pretty much $1 per watt RMS.
So like I've said. For those of us on a budget. Get a set of these. Or the 12's.
Get a good enclosure and a quality amp...And for less than $400 total you can have a pretty decent setup.
