Hertz ESK 165 S
I've only had these speakers in my car for a week now. It consists of the EV 165 S 6.5in speaker and the HT 18 tweeter. Let me tell you, I have never heard anything so clear in my life. In my favorite songs, I hear things in them, that I never heard in them before. Even when I had my Alpine comp set. But with some Eminem songs that I like, it sounds like crap. But either then that, these are sweet speakers. The midbass is alright, until you get around 25/35 for the volume and these shine really well. The performance at high volume is execlenct *I can't spell*. I would rate this speaker set a 4.6/5. And these speakers are hooked up to a Phoenix Gold 4.0:2 2 channel amp getting 75 watts RMS @ 4 ohms. Would I buy from Hertz again? I would.

Re: Hertz ESK 165 S
An update:
So, once again i'll say this, beautiful speaker set. Crystal clear. So tonight I decided to put Bleeding Me by Metallica to test my speakers out. I did this cause I was told that this song will make you speakers scream. I did that and I was surprised. They did very well. But once I got to 30/35 for the volume, the speakers were starting to bottom out. The tweeters are very hard on the ears. I guess cause of it's alalumiam *can't spell* dome. But besides that, it did bring out the sound of my speakers. I was quite pleased with it.

Re: Hertz ESK 165 S
I thought I would give a little update about these speakers.
Probably about 3 weeks ago, the tweeter on my driver side went. Thats toasty. Then a few days after that, my other tweeter went. So now i'm tweeterless.
I find that, without the tweeters for this speaker set, it sounds like crap.
I find that, the tweeters bring this set to life.
Who knows, maybe the tweeters aren't blown. But I haven't been able to get them to work again.
So after a month of having these in my car, I have to say is, this is a nice speaker set, but once the tweeters went, the SQ went down the drain. But thats me. Other people might like the SQ with them.
