Make sure no cosmetic defects
Make sure no noise when playing
Make sure the spiders are glued down
Make sure no coil rub

All of which I have seen with these right out of the box that was suppose to be A grade

I know Skar stuff is supposed to be the devil's spawn but I picked one of these VVX's cheap off Craigslist to play with. Nice woofers! I put it in a 2 cube ported box built by pro-rabbit and threw about 700 watts at it and it gets low and loud. What more can you ask for? Glws op...

I kno as much as the people may hate the owner of the company the woofers sound pretty **** nice they get low as hell
