    infinity or polk?

awwww... i can't decide which componets. I'm going to build custom kicks, and I've decided on either the 5.25inch infinity 5000cs's for $100 or 5.25inch polk db5250's for $150. I'm leaning towards the polk but are they really worth the extra $50 over the infinitys? any other ideas under $150 are good too...
    thanks
    Tyler
edit:I should mention they'll have 50wrms each from an audiobahn a2002t.

i have the 6.5" version and i like them but some people say the tweeter can be a little harsh'
but i have found a little hu tweaking can fix that.

    Re: infinity or polk?

I would go with a 6.5 inch set up if your building your kicks. you'll notice a little better bass responce out of them. i had 5.25's and upgraded to rainbow 6.5" in my dash the sound quality and wider Hz range of the 6.5 dominates the 5.25.
but thats just my two cents

By the way the new memphis PR class Comp's are $150 retail and sound good for an inexpensive comp. set

Audiobahn is like the Jessica Simpson of the car audio world, sure they might be pretty but its nothing you want to listen to...

I have the momo's, they are simply amazing my friend.

But I would say out of the two the Polk DB's hands down. A lot better and sound great!!!!

    Re: infinity or polk?

alrite mtx's are outta the question lol. I think i'm going to go with the infinitys. I have my 6x9's to help with midbass and subs for bass. The only reason I'd want the polks is because i really don't like harsh tweets like i've the infinitys have, but if they can be fixed by hu tweaks i'm fine with them.
