cd-2 mylar dome vs cd-2 neo's *horns*

im looking into matching my idq8's with a pair horns and am unsure on which ones to get. i plan on using full-body horns and powering them with a dls A1(35+2@4ohm). i want to what is the difference between the mylar dome and neo's. i listen to 100% metal so im looking for a horn that can cover my highs and midrange

Both are really good, I'd suggest the mylars because I like the top end , which is needed for metal. I haven't heard the neo's though. I will be picking up a set soon, but not quickly enough to help you I'm afraid.

If you haven't been banned from ECA yet ( ), do a search over there. I know Mic Wallace and some others have done some pretty in depth comparisons between the two.

personally i dont really see how they could improve them every hi end set i owned could do a flat 1000-20000 with ease

One of them was supposed to have a tonally better and smoother midrange, the other was supposed to have better high frequency extension and better "smoothness" at those higher frequencies......though I can never remember which one is which
