Tang Band?

I just got a new ride- an 1987 Porsche 924S (Same as a 944 without the fender flares) and I want to put a full system in it, with a good deal of fiberglass/custom work, all done on my own.

I saw these Tang Band drivers (for the full range apps) and was kind of intrigued (mostly by the price).

Are they any good? I have 4x6 obenings I do believe, but will fab to fit if nessecary...

Some of them are very good...others leave a little to be desired, especially if you really run them full-range.

Overall they're a very good deal for the money.

I was set on buying a set of Koda Components from Adire, but for what... 350 bucks I could get about the same sound with cheaper spearkers.

In this light, the Adire AV5 mid drivers can't be too bad, and they are of comparable price.

I'm looking for mostly sql, incorporating small horn style tweets, maybe with some upper midbass... How I'm going to amp/xover it all I dunno...

I'd rethink those koda components, the midbass is awfully good.

The Koda midbasses are pretty cheap by themselves...you could match 'em with a set of Aura tweets and DIY your Xovers.

agreed koda midbass is hard to beat for the price.
