How low can the Kappa 62.5is go?

I just hooked these up to a 50wx4 amp, and to get any kind of volume out of them, I gotta put the HPF to about 100hz, otherwise the midbass sounds horrible. Is that normal for the Kappas? I thought they were known for their good midbass and tweeters, unless midbass in the Kappas case is 100hz+

100 hz is midbass. I have my comps set at 100, when I had less power to them I had them on 80hz. You also have to remember unless you amp has a high crossover cut off it will play the lower notes closest to the cut off point.

Yea, theres only a 12db slope on the amp, so it does still play 80hz fairly loud (used test tones). I've always considered midbass to be 70+, but I guess I was wrong :P
