Its ok to just run a set of kicks right....no door speakers...no rear spears.....just sum comps with the tweeters on the pillar and the woofers in the kicks?

Yup, you generally want the tweeter as close to the mid as possible.

And no, it won't lower your soundstage assuming you aim the kicks properly.
