In need of components: $250 or under

Right now i have some old Jl audio mids in the doors, and some 20 dollar old speakers in the back (walmart ), and some tweeters up front that came for free when i ordered my mtx's. The tweets have this hissing noise due to crappy quality, and the jl's sound ok, but are just drownded out by the subs. I'm lookin to buy some components, and my max price is $250. Hopefully with about 325-350 i can get components and an amp to push em. Can anyone reccommend a set that would be loud and sound good loud?

You said in another thread a while back that you needed 5.25" mids. Does that still hold true?

Talk to Tplaya, I'm sure he can hook you up with some nice CDT's for around that price. He has other brands as well, but not too sure of their price. Got my Comps and rears for around $320 from him.

Re: In need of components: $250 or under

well 5.25's are gonna lack in midbass. i just hooked up some dls 6.5" mids and i was blown away. i use to have cdt hd mids and these entry level dls mids blow them away. after using dls i will never go back to cdt. anyways moral of the story, look into dls. you can get a c5 set brand new for a $130.
