my truck has all the bass i need and could want but my door speakers are blow (they sound like ****) and i dont need bass from the doors so can i hook up a tweeter on each door and only a tweeter on each door (no mid range or sub)?

wow---you could but why? i think that would sound like booty. you really are gonna want some mids in there unless you're one of those audiobahn kids who just like to make noise.

ditch the 5x7's..get a adapter plate or make 1 and put in 5 1/4 components..i have a grand marquis and have the same ****** 5x7's so i no how you feel..im gunna try and get 6 1/2 comps in there soon..right now in front i have boston acoustic 4x6 plates and a 1" jl tweets..it got plenty of hights but hardly any mids..
try this, lower your bass
set the fronts how you like them..(enough tweet)
then turn the amp back up to match the highs...
what you could be doing is having all the bass up and highs but your fully powering the subs before the 5x7's can start to produce..ya no
