I haven't heard the DLS's, but I also have the HD62's... Love em to death! GREAT tweet (I'd get the metal though), very clear. The midrange is great also, not as "high excursion" as the new xxx comp set mids, but it pounds pretty good.

i have heard good things about dls components. i like their ms6 model. as for cdt, i have their cl62i and i'm impressed with their overall performance. do you now how much the dls components go for?

Demoed DLS Iridiums in a car. Great speakers. Super smooth, very natural. Some people complain about the midbass. Frankly, I don't understand that. In the car I heard them in, they had PLENTY of midbass.
What really impressed me was the tonal balance. Just really neutral without sounding dead. Very musical
I'll be throwing down the $500 for a set soon.

So does the CDT's have better mid-bass than the DLS Iridiums? I don't have a shop anywhere near me to listen to any of them. Kind of poking and hoping!

LOL......I don't despise CDT or anything, I just don't think that they are all this forum makes them out to be.He likes anything not CDT
I haven't heard the HD's. But if you want, find the head-to-head comparo CA&E mag did with the Iridiums. I believe out of the 4 sets, the Iridiums got like 3rd.......but considering they were being compared to a $6,000 comp set and a $3500 comp set, I'd say they faired pretty well
