    There is no "best" it's all too subjective.

    I was thinking one would have more travel or thump. As in acts more like a sub.

    subs are subs for a reason.....a midbass acts nothing like a sub, its meant to produce midbass frequencies-

    whats your point? you get a boner if one has a larger surround w/ more xmax than another? Is that what "who owns the title?" mean to you?

    Because I see a good mid as one thats accurate playing its designated frequencies.....

    maybe the speaker that can accuratly play the highest range of frequency with the lowest distortion, least power requirement and, highest efficency\loudness.

    that would be my oppinion of one amazing 6.5

    Adire audio Koda 6.1's or the Alpine type r's 6.5 are really good. Sharp sound to if your a fan of that.

    Yeah, then you aren't looking for the "best", you are looking for the "loudest"....completely different. Just because one's the loudest, doesn't mean it is the most accurate.


    The Adire Extremis is probably the 6.5" with the most throw, and that can still act like a midbass (which is completely different than a sub).

    But as for "best", the Scanspeak Revelator and DLS Iridiums are probably up there.

    IMO .....Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 but thats just me everyones ears are different so your opinion will be different

    I haven't heard a extremis 6, but they look amazing... Anyone have them that's willing to write up a quick review ?
