    Icon32 System set up

Hi, I have a question regarding speaker set and hope you guys can help me out. I have some boston acoustics pro series 6.5 3 way and an alpine cda-9827 head unit and plan on replacing the stock 6x9's. The amp I have from a previous sytem is a ppi 5440 amp. My question is if this system would sound ok without a sub? I don't care about having bass that you can here from half a block away. I just want decent bass not loud bass, i'm more interested in having a system with a clean, clear sound and like I said just enough bass will do. I also would like to know If I have enough power in the amp I have or do I need another one. The previous system this amp ran was boston 5.5 pros, 2 6x9's and a 12 inch sub. Thank you.

    Re: System set up

some people around here get by without a sub, although i would think *any* low end is better than not much at all...maybe like a small 8 or 10 setup would work.
