Please prove a point to my friend

my friend is starting to put together his system for his car. hes got everything he needs and now is just deciding on the speakers. he got some alpine type s's. i told him if he was gonna get the S then just pay more to get the R. well he didnt listen. well his car is 6x8 in the front doors as well as the back so he bought the 5.25". now he wants to buy new 6x8 even though i keep tellin him not to since just ther over all design of these types of speakers doesnt make them the greatest out there. can someone please write up some facts and opinions on here so i can show him that its not just me that thinks this about these types of speakers but actually a whole car audio community? thank you

Wow......I'm not even really sure what you are talking about?!?!

What exactly are you trying to prove.......that 5.25"s are better than 6x8s?? Are both of these co-axials or components??

what i am talkin about is that overall 5.25" or 6.5" are superior to 6x8 or 6x9's in almost all applicaitons.

i don't know if this is what ur asking but 6 x 8's and 6 x 9's tend to distort more at high volumes . JUST get some 6 1/2's

Ok...generally round speakers will give a better sound than oval, oblonged shaped speakers.
