    blew stock midbass speakers

i blew my stock midbass speakers in my durango and now it sounds like crap and i was wondering if i can just unhook the midbass speakers and just let the tweeters play would that be ok or what cause i heard that if u do that i have to put some bass blockers on the tweeters is that right?

    Re: blew stock midbass speakers

so, wait, so your front stage consists entirely of tweeters playing full range?

get some comps, before you lose your hearing

    Re: blew stock midbass speakers

I was once running cdt cl-61s in the front and some 6x9s in the back; ended up taking out the mids of the cl-61s and left the tweeters...cause I'm like it should give some restoration of imaging since the main sound is coming from the rear. it did, but sounded horrible and harsh as hell...wouldn't recommend it...
