mid bass speakers

I'm looking to put a subwoofer in my gf's car. She doesn't have enough space for a subwoofer (she uses her trunk a lot and there isn't enough room for a box) So I'm considering a midbass speaker that preforms like a subwoofer. I'm looking to spend under 300 on it. The amp I have for it is a kicker kx150.2 I want to run it in infinite baffel. Right now I'm thinking about the Phoenix Gold Ti 9 Elite Midbass. Any other recommendations?

Get a small sub that can be run IB or in a tiny box built into the back deck. Something like the JL 6W0 or any of a myriad of 8s. A midbass will not reproduce the lows because it was not meant to.

yah, I'm thinking about maybe a little 8 inch punch. That midbass driver is supposed to be between a sub woofer and a regular midbass driver. I don't know for my self, I've never heard them... It's pretty expensive though.

If by "Punch" you mean Rockford Fosgate, save yourself the money and get something else. There are much better small subs out there for the same price. Look at Image Dynamics or Resonant Engineering.

Yah, I have a couple IDmax's sitting in my living room for my truck. I'm really excited about them. I'm not really sure to put in her car because she uses the trunk to carry around her flags so there isn't much room. Also, I'm not really interested in building a really nice system for her because she's probably only going to have the car for another 2 years or so. Right now I'm looking at some bazooka tubes, mtx formboxes... It'd be nice to have a nice little 8 inbetween her two 6x8's in the rear deck but I'm not sure if they'd sound like a subwoofer or more like another midbass driver. I kind of want something for her that hits a little hard. Enough that it sounds like kick drums. The ID subwoofers require enclosures that are kind of big for her. on their url they said they needed .6-.8 cubic ft... too big. The RE 8 looks promising though. Thanks

The ID ID 8's only require .3ft^3 sealed.
The ID IDQ 10's only require .25-.50ft^3 sealed.

Those are extremely small boxes ... extremely small.

A single RE 8 (or something along those lines) in .217ft^3 sealed would add some nice punch ... as well as the above two drivers.
