6.5 Component Help (Integra)

I have a 96 Integra and after replacing my HU have blown my front speakers. It has factory components that I would like to replace (thinking ALPINE SPR-176A 6.5), but I will not have a amp to push a set of components at first. Will this be a problem?

Any thoughts or other suggested components are also welcome. Trying to keep them less than $150.00.

Well an amp is always preferable but you should be fine off the HU in the short term. The best speakers I have heard for $150 are CDT CL-61a's from theZeb.com . IMO you cannot get a better set of new comps for that price.

btw isn't the Integra an Acura (which, yes, is owned by Honda)?

Yes it is however I have a JDM Conversion so the car looks closer like a Japan Honda Integra vs a US Acura Integra. It's a Honda :thumbsupw

good looks, type r components are around 50 rms if i'm not mistaken, with that you should be ok running off the HU...

Will 2 channels from a Hifonics ZX4400 (55W x4 RMS @ 4 Ohms) be enough power for a set of CDT CL-61a's?

the cdts are rated at 90 rms, i would look to give them near that power to avoid clipping from underpowering, but if that is all you have then it should be ok as long as u don't go crazy on the volume knob
