Good 6x9's for under 200$, no amp required?

I was talking to my dad about getting some good speakers, and he said back in the day he had a set of boston acoustics that were pretty awesome, but having never heard them before I'd like more input. I like quality audio, bass is nice but over all I like low distortion.

running anything off of just a head unit is retarded. You will always need an amp for loud and clean sound.

    All day I'm clippin'
    voltage be dippin'
    I don't give a damn,
    cause my trunk always hittin'!

creating a proper sound wave. Step one, turn it up until clipping. Step two, done.

I have a set of Hertz. They have a high efficiency rating so they can still get loud and sound good on H/U power. I'm selling them for $60. Originally $250. Only used about 3 months. They just don't fit in my new car. I can guarantee you that they are better than anything else for the price.

Imho, don't spend 200 bucks if you're going to run them on h/u power. I'd cut it in half.

With that said the Pioneer d series sound fantastic for the money.

For $200, buy a okay set of components an amp and 8 ga kit.

    Don't listen to me.
