(recommend) powerful bass speakers
i want a good pair of speakers for the rear doors that have great bass, i want to use the rear more for bass, i need 6.5 coaxial speakers. i don't want to get a sub, i have an alpine 4 channel with 300w peak and 50w rms. or would i be better off just bridging it with a sub, and how would i go about doing that. i am not knowledgeable about installing

Re: (recommend) powerful bass speakers
if you want "bass" you're going to want a sub, midbass drivers aren't gonna cut it. If you want to run a sub with that amp you'd have to bridge 2 of the channels and run a 4 ohm subwoofer at 100 watts rms. I'd recommend selling that amp and getting a monoblock amp or a 2 channel to run a sub off

Re: (recommend) powerful bass speakers
if you dont need a whole lot of booming bass, you can add 6.5 subwoofers in the rear doors, yet recommend doing some door prepping to seal off to get the performance out of the speaker/subs better.

May have to do some searching, for the depth needed, and size needed for your vehicle, but there are woofers for the 6.5 locations, you may even want to cut a little, and add an 8 inch as well?

Re: (recommend) powerful bass speakers
if the amp does 50watts rms @4 ohms per channel, it likely does 75-100@ 2ohms per channel and therefore 150-200rms bridged @4 on the rear channels and if you just want a little bass to compliment your front stage i say go for one of these 8" in the trunk or 10"...cant go wrong with the price

Your not gunna get any bass is what he is saying... Bass is 20-80/100 hz (sub levels) and mid bass is 80/100+ hz which is what speakers produce...
