Proper way to mount my mids
I'm still learning all this stuff and have a question. I have a '98 Nissan Frontier and the door speakers are mounted to a plastic adapter that acts as a spacer. I'm installing components and noticed that when I tighten down the speaker to the plastic spacer it wants to slightly deform the speaker frame. This can't be good. How can I prevent this?

Did you get proper speaker sizes for the vehicle?

Don't tighten it so much? Hard to tell you what to do without pics.
Maybe use some washers to level out what its mounting to?
