I am really leaning towards buying the woofers separate and going active. That way I can save some money since I don't need the crossovers. So what I need is a midwoofer like a dayton rs180 or silver flute, but one that can handle 200watts a piece. and a matching tweeter. Since the midwoofer will be mounted off axis I'd like to get large format tweeters and cross them around 2000hz

I love metal music and alu seems more detailed. Harsh at first but gets better after a while. Try both if you are not sure.. 40$ is not the end of the world.Quote:
