6.5 components under 2.5 depth
Looking for a decent set of components, but the mounting depth can't be over 2.5 inches and I don't have any room to add a spacer. Any suggestions, looking to spend around $150 or lower and they will be getting about 40-50 watts.

Worst case, make a baffle out of MDF but you might be ok

Massive's shallow speakers are really shallow, but they use a traditional design that makes the Xmax really limited when you squash the depth that much. I like Massive Audio but I'd give the SK components a pass when there's 2.5" of depth available.

Re: 6.5 components under 2.5 depth
Have someone selling a used set of CDT Audio HD-62im Componenents with upgraded CDT 550i crossovers for $200. It's a little more than I want to spend, but looking online these seem to be a higher end of components? Any experience on these and what about the price? Thanks

Re: 6.5 components under 2.5 depth
The HDs are great comps and, for 200, are a solid deal. Especially since they have the upstage-capable crossovers. They are darn decent performers and with them priced right next to the JBL MS comps, would probably go for the CDT.

Re: 6.5 components under 2.5 depth
yeah I think I might try these out, the price does seem pretty good. Looks like they can handle alot of power (125w I think) and I only will have 75w going to each component so hopefully that's will still be enough!

Re: 6.5 components under 2.5 depth
Well ended up getting the CDT's for $175. They are in great condition and come with all hardware, paperwork, and original box! I think I got a pretty good deal, now just have to wait until other stuff gets in before I can install them.
