Need advice on speakers.

So I found out my speaker size and can fit 6 1/2 and want to put a component set up front. I am going to put in an Alpine CDE-HD137BT head unit with the Alpine KBT-445U powerpack.

Are Alpine's SPR-60C a good combo for this, or is there a better choice of speakers recommended for this combo?
Are the Alpine SPR-60C speakers any good to begin with or should I look for a different brand?

look for a better set ,budget?

I can spend up to 300 on the comps.

ok these are normally 399 ,but are on sale now HD 61A

Bump, does anyone just have any input on Alpine's SPR-60C such as what they are good at and what they need improvement on?

the mids are very lacking ,and they dont take much power

I would not run alpine comps.
Their woofers are OK, but even then...
Alpine makes some nice decks.

For speakers look to CDT, focal, hybrid audio, phd, even rainbow and a few others. O and hertz I almost forgot about hertz. But with hertz make sure you go through an authorized dealer, there are a lot of knockoffs.
I have learned my lesson (NEVER buy used speakers)

Mylows10 usually beats the prices you'll find elsewhere for bnib stuff he is knowledgable as well.

JBL MS-62C have been getting pretty good reviews. They're well within the budget.

Thanks, I will look at these. Do you know how are the mids compared to the Alpines?
