Need loud and clear 6.5s + tweets

6x9s are useless in my car, so im only going to be doing the stock tweeters and 6.5's up front.

Basically, what are loud and clear 6.5s that dont break the bank? And what about for tweeters?

I plan on wiring them off of a head-unit until i can get a good 4ch amp later on down the road. Have the factory HU in now thats hopefully going out within a few weeks

There are a lot of good sets out there. What is your budget? Talk to @mylows10 ; he should be able to get you squared away.

Maybe $100 for a set of 6.5s, not sure about tweeter pricing.

Well if you buy a component set, that will include the 6.5" mids, the tweeters, and the crossover. What's your budget for everything?

These have got to be the loudest dam n tweeters that I have ever owned,I just bought a set to put back in the truck do to my others not enough for me.These are some real screamers/ear peircing tweets with approx 75-100 on them

Ok wait, let's start over. Where you are trying to replace the 6.5", are they currently coaxials or part of a component set? Do you have factory ~1" tweeters up front as well, or do you only have the 6.5" woofers? If you already have a component set there, you already have a crossover in there. A crossover is required to run mid-bass woofers and tweeters properly, atleast passively. I don't think you are running active, so you will need a crossover.

If you want to take it to a shop instead of install it yourself, atleast get a good speaker set for him to install. But I would say do it yourself, this is much easier than it sounds. If you can run all the wiring it takes for an amp you can definitely install a component set. Hardest part is getting the door panel off usually.

You'll also want to set aside some money to seal and deaden your doors, most important part of the upgrade bud.

Maybe he doesn't have the ability to make the adapters and $40 is fairly cheap if they do good work and stick to their quote.
