Budget Pro Audio Mids that get loud and sound good?

I'm running Crescendo 4 mp6s and 4 mp8s off of a Lanzar 250x2 @ 2 ohms per channel and it's not really what I want.


I really like the Krome Audio mids and PRV bullet tweeters, but they are out of my budget. Trying to keep it below $300.

Any suggestions?

The mp's just don't get loud. Pretty much any decent PA mid will be louder: PE PA line, AQ, selenium, eminence....

all opinion, but the PE mids are very budget friendly and can sound good in a daily set up.

Get the AQs. 50 a pair shipped and they will hook you up of you need a few pairs. The tweets are 30 a pair shipped also. Heard great things about both

in this category, i am sold on infinity reference. they are about 2ohm, but rated "4ohm topology" first hand- they sound pretty awesome and are surprisingly responsive in the 40-100rms range. put them to work on stock delphi/delco radios, and even amped them. also compared them to the "matching" jbl speakers in the same category, made by the same company. great low-end extension. the jbl's were a little softer, and the infinities seemed to fill the lows a lot better. snagged them from amazon far under your budget and played them against several other mids. the infinities and jbl's came on top by a good margin.
