How do I stop blowing my subs?
I've had 2 alpine type r 10" subs in the past 4 months, and they have both blown out playing it heavy in 80 degree weather.. All gain settings are on max low and bass eq settings... Also have the rated RMS power on them.
Re: How do I stop blowing my subs?
gains and bass boost are at max ,is this correct
Re: How do I stop blowing my subs?
learn how to set the gains properly, make sure electrical is solid, make sure the box is properly designed and make sure your music files arent clipped to shit and last.....NEVER EVER use bass boost
Re: How do I stop blowing my subs?
If gain is at max, that is max fail.
Re: How do I stop blowing my subs?
What amp did you have on them? And on the head unit what is the bass set on?

Hmm, how high is your output voltage from the H/U when you play the system?
