Re: How do I stop blowing my subs?

Yeah well I look like an idiot cause im just responding to questions blinds while driving but I had the gain professionally tuned because I don't have a distortion detector and from there I turned it down even lower by a hair. I was just saying its on the lowest setting so you guys knoe that the gain isn't the issue. And the bass eq I didn't touch irt is on 0

    >.> A digital multimeter will cost you about 20$ from advanced auto, walmart, autozone etc.
    Dont type and drive man...
If you are blowing woofers, then something is wrong with your system.
You professional did not give you a professional install...

No, I think everyone is right about said "professional". Trust us, there's more guys on CA forums that are more knowledgeable than tards at local CA shops. Doesn't mean every shop has tards, just most of them.

Research how to do it correctly and everything should be good to go.

This will go a lot easier if you just accept that the amplifier is not set correctly, despite your claim that you paid for a "professional" tune. Your subs should never sound like "a ruler slapping" as you turn the volume up, and since you said they sound good at low volume this is a dead giveaway the gain is NOT set right.
