Re: hello, help me choose!!
I myself would go with the Bostons as my first pic for spl type, and for more of the SQ side, Id go for the Hertz
Re: hello, help me choose!!
So the ng Rainbows not so much. Those hertz are under budget then, what should I throw in the rear then to fill it out a bit?
Re: hello, help me choose!!
thanks for the advice, i would be more of an sq guy, i suppose scrap the rear upgrade i think the oem bose will fill it enough,
so it looks like the hertz, i will be ordering them before tomorrow night so please people....dont hesitate to leave a response if you came and read this thread!!!!
as for the t3 audio....i am buying from amazon so if it aint there then its a no-no

just go active and be done with it.
WoofersEtc.com - XS-28 - Image Dynamics 28mm Silk Dome Tweeters (Pair) some nice tweets for the $, spend the rest of you Amazon $ on other things you might need.
Amazon.com: XS-28 - Image Dynamics 28mm Silk DOme Tweeters (Pair): Car Electronics
Madisound Speaker Store x2, you prolly will need spacers with the others anyways, might as well get a touch more cone area and a smooth response with good sensitivity.
just my.02 for a good set of comps at $160 bucks if good sound is what you are after. Spend a little extra on sound dampening the inside of your car and focus on tweet imaging and midbass install for even better results..
Re: hello, help me choose!!
wow $20 a pop!! ill try that, will those tweeters sell easy if i dont like the setup???

Possibly. That setup will likely rival anything in your List though.
I don't like lower line Focal or Hertz stuff too much. I love Boston, Rainbow and JL. But each has their own type of sound that u may or may not like. Going active with raw drivers saves u money and allows up more control over your final sound and u have the opportunity to try more drivers than your average user.
Re: hello, help me choose!!
that means ill have to go ahead and get another amp for the sub then.......mmmm,im getting better quality but now i would need another amp for the sub......now the ARC 4150 is starting to seem overkill for that front stage setup????? are there any crossovers i could use to go with the options quackhead suggested if i wanted to change back?i suppose i could always just sell them and go back to passive if it dont work.
Re: hello, help me choose!!
searching fo a cheap used mono amp for the hertz es200 ....any suggestions?
Re: hello, help me choose!!
Well I've got the ARC 4ch amp and 2 hertz es200 subs here and found a nice little 2 channel 300w rms that I can bridge for the subs. Also picked up a set of xs28 tweeters but they are still to be shipped.
Officially going active going on you guys reccomendations !!!. I am down to buying the last pieces- the mids/woofers. It's either those silver flutes (w14rc25-04) or a pair of peerless sls (830945).
These have to be fixed to the door card as theres no way to mount them in the door itself and best I can do is dampen the doors, not really possible to get a good seal. I'm gonna post up pictures of the door and card first chance to see what you guys think. I won't be modifying the outside of the door card though. Any other woofer/ mid you guys might reccomend?? I want to stay below $50 each on them.cannot go above 5.5"
