if i already have a set of two way comps in the doors of my car and i want to add like a 6" subwoofer in the door too, would i have to use a 3 way crossover or would i have to get a separate amp for them, what would be the best thing to do, thanks

A separate amp would definitely be the way to go.
Don't put a subwoofer in your door

Separate amp is required due to required power for a sub. Move the mids to the kicks, you don't want to combine airspace with mid and woofer. Fully deaden and seal the door to support a sub.
