2-way vs 3-way coax speakers; whats the difference?

What is the difference between 2-way and 3-way speakers? Im looking at getting Orion XTR 6.5s and 6x9 speakers. Excellent pricing

2 way= woofer and tweeter
3 way= woofer, 2 tweeters

for $60, that seems like a good deal
