Building my own comp set...help.suggestions

OK, how would i go about building my own component set. I guess 2 way, unless 3 way is feasible...max budget of $250...need x-over, mids, and tweeters. I want silk tweets...and other than that i'm open. Thanx for any help guys, wanna make it sound better than my cl-61a's...good mid needed. peace

i have heard the type rs have some nice midbass (mine arent mounted with any sound deadeing or even baffles so i dont get that much midbass, i still gotta work on there install gonna wait till summer though so i can work on it outside with a beer or 2)

Nah, i want to separately buy some great mids, tweeters, maybe ge some x-over's made...i knew there was a good site to look at for stuff like this. any1 got some suggestions? peace

Pioneer makes the PRS line of components. You have to buy the tweeters, mids and crossovers separately. These are an awesome set of components if you can get your hands on some. Not exactly custom buidling your own, but i just thought i would reccomend it. This is Premiers highest line of speakers/subs. They are excellent. Expensive, but excellent.
