    CDT instalation depth

    what is the instalation depth for 6.5 inch cdt classic components. Also what is the instalation depth for 5.25 inch cdt classic components.



    Car: 1995 Ford Escort LX 2-Door 5-speed
    System:
    pioneer deh 4700mp
    wiring:weldingsupply.com,stinger,tsunami.
    Front Door Speakers:pioneer 6 1/2 coaxials.
    Rear Deck:N/A
    Front speaker amp:Nine.2
    Sub Amp:nine.1
    Subs:3 ED 9kv.2's
    Sub Box:1.5 cubes ported @ 29 hz

    well, before thezeb switched up their site, they had a page dedicated to cdt mounting depths...I saved the stuff about the 6.5s:

    CL-61 6.5" mid, .1" silk swivel tweeter
    depth: 2 7/8"
    hole: 5 11/16"

    I also believe you can change the depth a bit by taking off the rubber surround on the magnet. This might take off an extra .1 - .2 of an inch. I had to remove it to get them in my car.
