Has anyone use a set of speaker baffels for there doors. If so are they good or bad. I heard that it improves the quality by alot. Here is a link to what i am taking about.

anybody have any thoughts
proven to do nothing but keep the drivers dry and in too small of an enclosure space.
Most people who use them cut out the bottom of them to allow the drivers to have the correct IB airspace that door drivers are designed for.
Whoever told you that they make the speakers sound better was either trying to sell them to you or has no idea what they are talking about.

agreed. the other thing that helps is having a resilient material between the speaker basket and vehicle metal. you can maintain an airtight seal around the driver and also decouple the basket from the metal.
you do want to cut out the bottom and even back to allow adequate airflow. you just need a top half circle to divert water.
